Oona is one happy girl to have these two beautiful horses in her life. This portrait was her confirmation gift. She sent this message to me when I asked her what would she want to say about her two equine friends:
"In this painting are the two most important and beloved horses of mine. Renso is a red sorrell Latvian warmblood gelding, the horse I compete with.
Baron ox is a grey Arabian, from straight Egyptian bloodlines. The boys are the best of friends and I want to thank the wonderful artist Leena Pekkalainen." (ok, now I blush)
This is pastel on suede matboard, 23,6" x 19,7"
Oona on onnekas tyttö, kun hänellä on nämä kaksi hevosta. Tämä muotokuva oli hänen rippilahjansa. Hän lähetti minulle tämän viestin, kun kysyin, mitä hän haluaisi sanoa näistä kahdesta hevosystävästään:
"Maalauksessa on elämäni kaksi tärkeintä ja rakkainta hevostani.
Renso on punarautias latvialainen puoliverinen ruuna, kisahevoseni.
Baron ox on kimo arabi, täysegyptiläisisistä verilinjoista.
Pojat ovat mitä parhaimmat ystävykset, suuret kiitokset suuremmoisen taulun maalajalle Leena Pekkalaiselle."
